Description

Optical model is one of the most fundamental theoretical models in nuclear reaction theory. It is applied widely in various nuclear reaction calculations. The microscopic optical potential (MOP) is generated theoretically based on the nucleon-nucleon interaction, which has no free parameters and does not depend on experimental data. The MOPs for nucleon, 2,3H, 3,4,6He and 6,7Li are obtained in this work.
From the view of the many-body theory, the nucleon optical potential is identified with the mass operator of the one-particle Green function. Thus, the mass operator is used to calculate the nucleon MOP. Based on the Skyrme nucleon-nucleon interaction, the nucleon MOP is obtained by the Green function method through the nuclear matter approximation and local density approximation. MOPs for light complex particles are obtained by folding the MOPs of their internal nucleons with density distributions generated from corresponding internal wave functions of the light complex particles. The internal wave functions are obtained by shell model and cluster model.
The calculated results, such as the total, reaction cross sections and elastic scattering angular distributions, can reproduce the experimental data reasonably well. In many cases, the agreements are comparable to the ones obtained with phenomenological optical potentials.
