Description

As the main output of CENDL project, the updated Chinese Evaluated Nuclear Data Library, CENDL-3.2 released in June 2020, which contains the neutron reaction data file which contained 272 materials, and the evaluated activation, fission yields, decay data and photonuclear data file are also included CENDL-3.2.
Out of all 272 materials, the data for 135 materials are totally new, partly updated evaluations, while the other 137 materials were inherited and adopted as it was from previous version, CENDL-3.1. 1) 58 nuclides are brand newly evaluated on the basis of latest experimental information and model calculations, covering a broad spectrum of nuclides from n-1 to 241Am; 2) 14 nuclides are re-viewed and re-evaluated from previous version, with part of the data set modified, including 2H, 7Li, 93Nb and major actinides isotopes Th, U, Np and Pu; 3) through an estimation of the uncertainties of theoretical model parameters within the generalized least square scheme, model dependent covariances for main reaction cross section data are added for fission product nuclei.
Fission yield sub-library of CENDL-3.2 contains the fission yields for the neutron induced 235U, 238U and 239Pu fission systems, including the independent and cumulative yields. The evaluation performed with fission model calculations based on available measured data.
CENDL-3.2 also contained the evaluated decay data for about 1400 nuclides between A=66 to A=172 region. The Q-values of the decay modes are updated to the Atomic Mass Evaluation (AME) released recently. All T1/2 are revised by new measurements, and mean energies for beta & gamma taken from TAGS measurements or theoretical calculation.
Activation sub-library of CNEDL-3.2 contains evaluated excitation functions for about 400 isotopes for incident neutron with energies up to 20 MeV. The isotopes range from Ti to W with stable or T1/2>1h. The reaction cross sections, decay data and isomeric branching ratios, nuclide production cross sections are given.
Photonuclear data sub-library contained photonuclear data for 266 nuclei. The global estimation based on various Lorentzian models for all elements is performed. The calculation for the competing photonuclear data is performed based on MEND-G and GUNF codes for light nuclei.
The systematic comparisons between CENDL-3.2 and other major evaluated libraries: ENDF, JENDL, BROND, JEFF and TENDL, as well as experimental data available have been implemented. Moreover, the benchmarking test of CENDL-3.2 was performed, an integrated benchmarking test system including more than 1200 criticality benchmark configurations.
The CENDL3.2 have been applied in the Chinese domestic nuclear industry, including the design of CFR600 and TMSR, ADS project, and other application of reactor physics simulations, shielding benchmarks studies etc.
