Abstract submission is open. Please review the important dates for submission deadlines.
All abstracts must be submitted via SPMS.
You must own a profile and associated account in the JACoW Repository prior to submitting an abstract. If you do not have an account or have forgotten your account details, see Finding a Profile.
Once logged into SPMS, please make sure that the data in your JACoW profile is up to date, especially your email address and affiliation. This can be done by selecting “Modify Your Profile”.
Select "Manage Abstracts" and "Submit A New Abstract" to begin.
Abstract title
Enter the title of the contribution using initial capital letters. For example: “This is a Paper Title in Initial Capital Letters”
Presentation type
Presently the only option is “Poster." Invited and contributed orals will be selected by the Scientific Program Committee.
Classifications
Please select the classifications for your abstract. If none of the categories match your contribution, please contact the conference organizers.
Abstract textThe text should not exceed 1200 characters.
Special characters
Since electronic submission via SPMS does not allow a straight-forward system to enter Greek symbols, superscripts, subscripts, or other special characters, please avoid them.
Footnotes/funding agencyFootnotes should not exceed 200 characters. Enter references to publications as many times as necessary and with a carriage return between each.
Reference to funding agencies should not exceed 200 characters. This field should not be used to request sponsorship. No carriage returns are allowed.
Save your abstract
After filling in the fields described above, click “Save Changes."
Abstract editing/entry of co-authors
After filling in the abstract information and saving it, a new window will allow you to print, edit, or withdraw the abstract. If you have co-authors, please enter their names and designate their roles at this stage. Always click "Update" to save changes.
Author roles are
- Primary/corresponding author (the person normally contacted in matters concerning the program, the paper, etc)
- Presenter/speaker (the person who will present the invited oral/contributed oral/poster)
- Co-author (neither of the above)
Please be sure to assign the correct affiliation for all authors. Multiple affiliations may be assigned if needed. When you enter co-authors, the SPMS will search for an existing author profile. If none is found, you will need to create a new profile (or ask your co-author to create an SPMS account). Please be extremely careful with your data entry as this profile will be added to the JACoW repository. Co-authors properly entered in the SPMS will thus appear in the list of co-authors, which will be included in the program booklet and in the author index of the proceedings. If co-authors are not properly included, they will not appear in the author indices.
