Frontiers Summer School (May 15 - 19)

The 2nd Frontiers Summer School in Nuclear Astrophysics will take place at the FRIB Laboratory on the MSU campus the week from 15th to 19th May, prior to the 2023 CeNAM Frontiers in Nuclear Astrophysics Meeting.

Following the success of the 1st Frontiers Summer School in the pre-pandemic 2019, we anticipate the establishment of the Frontiers Summer School as a regular satellite event of the Frontiers meeting. The school aims to develop the cross-field knowledge of senior undergraduate and graduate students, and young researchers in the interdisciplinary field of nuclear astrophysics via the exploration of various astrophysical and nuclear physics topics, ranging from stellar evolution and nucleosynthesis to novel experimental approaches and theoretical advances.

The school schedule includes lectures, several half-day hands-on sessions, and a tour of the FRIB Laboratory. The full school program and further information can be found on the dedicated 2nd Frontiers Summer School website.

Thanks to the support from the IReNA network, registration fees and local costs (accommodation and partial meals) will be covered for the duration the school.
