Local Weather and eBikes
College Station has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen Cfa) and experiences mean daily highs in August of ~36C / 97F, with the occasional tropical rain shower in the afternoon. Appropriate clothing (for the heat and rain) and refillable water bottles are highly recommended.
To avoid long walks in the heat, Veo eBikes can be short-term rented via the Veo app and picked-up/dropped-off almost anywhere on campus and the nearby neighborhoods.
Lecture Hall
The Workshop on Precision Measurements with Radioisotopes will be held in the J. Cain Building in Lecture Hall 202 on the Texas A&M campus. You can access the building from Spence Street as shown in the photos below.
Lodging
Several hotels are located in walking distance to the event space, in particular The George and Cavalry Court in nearby Century Square (which also hosts more than 20 restaurants, breakfast places, coffee shops, and bars). The Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center located in the heart of the campus, is also walkable. Early booking is encouraged to ensure availability, given that August is a busy time of year in Aggieland.
