Takuya Furuta, PhD |
Takuya Furuta, PhD Research Group for Radiation Transport Analysis Nuclear Science and Engineering Center, Japan Atomic Energy Agency. Dr. Takuya Furuta received his D.Sc. degree from the Department of Physics at Tohoku University in 2007. Following graduation, he worked as a post-doctoral fellow at GANIL (France), LPC Caen (France), and RIKEN (Japan). In 2013, he secured a permanent position at the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA). At JAEA, he has been involved in the development of the PHITS code, including the implementation of OpenMP parallelization, utility functions for tetrahedral-mesh geometry, and the RadioTherapy package based on PHITS (RT-PHITS). |
Yuho Hirata, PhD |
Yuho Hirata, PhD Research Group for Radiation Transport Analysis Nuclear Science and Engineering Center, Japan Atomic Energy Agency. Dr. Yuho Hirata received his Ph.D. from the Department of Applied Energy at Nagoya University. In 2020, he joined the Japan Atomic Energy Agency as a post-doctoral fellow, working on the development of the PHITS code within the research group focused on analyzing radiation detector responses. Since then, he has contributed to the development of PHITS, particularly in the areas of the electron track-structure model and the evaluation of detector responses. |
Tatsuhiko Ogawa, PhD |
Tatsuhiko Ogawa, PhD Research Group for Radiation Transport Analysis Nuclear Science and Engineering Center, Japan Atomic Energy Agency. Dr. Tatsuhiko Ogawa received his Ph.D. from the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Tokyo. In 2012, he joined the Japan Atomic Energy Agency as a post-doctoral fellow, focusing on PHITS code development within the radiation protection research group. Since then, he has been actively involved in PHITS development, particularly in the areas of the heavy-ion reaction model JQMD, the gamma de-excitation model EBITEM, and the track-structure model ITSART. In 2019, he spent a year working at the French Commission of Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies. |
