Travel and Transportation

The venue for the WPCF22 is the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI USA. Below is more information regarding air travel to the area, ground transportation, and lodging information for onsite rates arranged for this conference.

Air Travel

East Lansing is served by several major airports:

Lansing’s Capital Region International Airport can be found at http://www.flylansing.com.

1. Taxi cabs are available upon arrival and there is a direct line inside the baggage claim to call for a taxi, or you can use UBER, Lyft. The airport is about 10.5 miles from the MSU campus.
2. Rental cars can be obtained at a discounted rate at the following airport locations using the MSU contract:

Detroit Metro Airport can be found at http://www.metroairport.com.

1. Bus Michigan Flyer is an economical way to travel the 90 miles from the airport. The fare for the Michigan Flyer is about $32 USD. Reservations for the Michigan Flyer can be made at http://www.michiganflyer.com.
2. Rental cars can be obtained at a discounted rate at the following airport locations using the MSU contract:

Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids can be found at http://www.grr.org.

1. Taxi abs are always available upon arrival. You can get a traditional taxi right outside the arrival terminals. Luxury sedan transportation can be scheduled prior to arrival by calling Metro Cab at +1 (616) 827-6500. It is about 65 miles from the airport to the MSU campus, or you can use UBER, Lyft.
