The Fisk-Vanderbilt Master’s to PhD Bridge Program was created in 2004 with the intention of increased underrepresented minorities in the STEM workforce and academe. Beginning in astronomy and physics, the program has since expanded to include biology and chemistry. To date, over 135 students have joined the program with 31 PhD graduates.
