Alternate Abstract and Poster Instructions

Abstract Submissions can be made through the Call for Abstracts link from the left menu, or if you prefer, can be submitted manually as follows:

Form and Length of Abstracts

All abstracts should be submitted using the linked template and clearly identify the objectives/introduction, methods/study design, results, and conclusions of the work. Remember to keep field specific jargon to a minimum so your abstract can be easily understood by all subfields within JINA-CEE. The abstract must be in the form of a pdf file (example) using this template (tex). The abstract is limited to one page.

The name of the latex file should be name.tex where "name" is the last name of the presenting(underlined) author.

Submission Method and Due Date

The latex file and the one-page pdf for the abstracts should be sent by email to jinacee@msu.edu with your last name and Frontiers 2019 Abstract in the subject (e.g. Lyons Frontiers 2019 Abstract)

Also in the main text of the emailed abstract, please specify if you would prefer to give an oral presentation, poster presentation, or either. Also please note if you are planning on attending the Junior Researcher Meeting, and have interest in giving an Overview Talk.

Due date: March 29, 2019


There will not be proceedings. Links to the talks will be put on the website.


For podium presentations, a computer will be provided and is preferred to save time transitioning from one talk to the next. However, the projection hardware will have standard audio-visual connectors for using your own laptop.

Poster presentations:
Posters will be oriented vertically and should be no larger than 48 inches in height and 36 inches in width. The poster session will be Wednesday afternoon, and the posters will remain up for the remainder of the conference.

Presentation time:
Invited talks: 20 min plus 10 min for discussion
Regular talks: 10 min plus 5 min for discussion
